Initiating a catalog update is as simple as uploading a catalog file to Fanplayr's FTP servers. This feature allows catalog updates to be automated by your systems.

  • A set of FTP credentials will be provided for each catalog you need to manage. Credentials are in the form of a username and SSH Private Key file.

  • Import operations are automatically started for each catalog update file uploaded. See the section to learn how to view the progress and status of import operations after completing an FTP upload.

  • Operation logs are created next to each catalog file uploaded. For example, if you upload a file named Catalog-20200903.json, a log file with a similar name such as Catalog-20200930.json-20200930-122311.log will be generated after the operation is finalized. This log file can be used to identify and correct any import errors.
