What is a Source?

A Source is an integration which can send data into Fanplayr. This could be a website, server or any application which can send data into Fanplayr using the supported API calls and data structures.

Each source you create has a unique WRITE KEY which is used to identify the source with your account, as well as an ENDPOINT which depends on your data residency. These may not be displayed if the integrations takes care of this for you.

Types of sources

Sources can bring data in from a browser (your website), from your CRM, from servers, from apps, from anywhere really! Depending on Integration, for example Custom, you will need to get your developers to implement some code.

Creating a Source

Creating a source is easy:

• Go to Integrations / Catalog

• Here you can filter by Type "Source"

• Choose a Source integration, and then the Capability you want by clicking the "Add" button

• You may now need to set up authetnication for this Capability, or implement ie JavaScript API.
