iContact
You need four pieces of information from your iContact account to integrate into Fanplayr:
Your iContact Username.
Your API Password.
Your API URL.
Your List ID.
You also need to perform a one-time step that enables the Fanplayr API with your account.
Enabling the Fanplayr API in your iContact Account
This initial step only needs to be completed once. It authorizes Fanplayr to add contacts to lists in your account via the iContact API.
Visit the iContact Enable an External API page.
Log in here, https://app.icontact.com/icp/core/externallogin.
Add Fanplayr's application ID to your account.
Enter
plcR4VfM32x15YIbHkuROAA9URmbiwpK
into the Application ID field.Create a password for Fanplayr's application to use.
Enter a password into the Create a Password field. (Do not use your usual iContact password). Remember this password, as you will need to provide it later in the Fanplayr portal.
Click Save to add the Fanplayr application.
If successful, you should now see a "Fanplayr Inc" application has been added. Please copy the API URL provided for later use.
Adding a List to your Fanplayr Account
Visit the ESP Integration section in your Fanplayr account.
Choose the Create New option from the Integrations dropdown.
Provide a Name for your list. Your list will appear as this name throughout the Fanplayr Portal.
Select iContact from the Email Service Provider dropdown.
You will need 4 pieces of information to configure your list:
Your iContact Username.
The API Password you created for the Fanplayr application in the steps above.
The API URL provided when initially authorizing Fanplayr in iContact. It can be accessed again from the iContact Enable an External API page (). Example:
https://app.icontact.com/icp/a/1680156/c/4292/
The List ID of the email list you want to use. The List ID can be identified in your browser URL when viewing the List Settings page in iContact. Please refer to the video below for more details.
Optionally use the Test Configuration button to make sure these details are correct. This will attempt to add
test-email@fanplayr.com
to your iContact list. Please remove this email from your list after testing.Finally, click Create to add the configured list to your Fanplayr account.
